The Collegiate Cheltenham Gag Cheek Pieces are leather cheeks to be used with a running gag bit. The buckle ends can be opened to easily slide through the rings of a running gag bit Hardware is stainless steel.
The French link in this bit means pressure is applied to both sides of the tongue. Horses with low palates may find this bit more comfortable as the mouthpiece should not contact the palate when the bit is in action.
The full cheek snaffle has narrow arms which project above and below the rings, preventing the mouthpiece from sliding in the horses mouth and to emphasize the tuning aid. French link offers independent control over two sides of the mouth.
