Charlotte's Trial Saddle Program

At Charlotte's, we understand the importance of having a properly fitting saddle – one that fits both you and your horse!

All our new and used saddles are available for trial fitting.  To check out a saddle, we ask for a deposit for the entire purchase price. The trial period is normally 7 days.  If the saddle is being shipped to you, you may have an additional 5 days. 

If the saddle fits both you and your horse, simply call the store and let us know you are keeping the saddle.  If the saddle does not work out for any reason, just let us know and return the saddle to the store.  You are responsible for the return shipping charges.  Insurance is highly recommended.  We ask that you return the saddle in the same condition in which you received it.  After inspecting the saddle and we find no damage, we will refund your credit card the full amount of the deposit.

Please help us maintain the quality and integrity of the saddle by following these guidelines:

• For English saddles, please wrap the leathers with any soft material, (knee socks with toes cut out work well), to prevent the leathers from marking the saddle flaps.
• We recommend you ride in breeches, tights or jodhpurs which also helps in preventing marks and abrasions on the leather
• Keep the saddle covered with a saddle cover or piece of fabric when not in use.
• Do not clean, oil or condition the saddle if you are returning it to the store.
• During this trial period, you are fully responsible for the saddle and any damages that occur while in your possession.
